Randy Strahan



2005 ENTREPRENEUR IN RESIDENCE

Randy Strahan brings more than 20 years of senior general management and operations experience at leading telecommunications companies to Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV). As a venture partner he helps portfolio companies develop operations strategies and has served as interim CEO at a number of MDV's early stage investments. He currently serves on the boards of Andale and nLight Photonics and is working with Netillion. Prior to MDV, Randy was president and CEO of Telmax Communications, a privately held company that manufactures and markets telecommunication equipment to telephone companies such as RBOCs, CLECs and independent telecom companies. Before that, he spent 20 years in various management positions at Pacific Bell, serving most notably as president of Pacific Bell's Service Operations Division where he was responsible for all customer delivery in the company.

Education: He earned a bachelor's degree (summa cum laude) in criminology from California State University, Fresno, and a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from Chapman College in Orange, California. He also participated in the Sloan Senior Executive Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Advanced Management Program, Telecommunications, at the University of Southern California.
